AS part of Tullamore Tidy Towns 'Tree Planting Project' the group has undertaken to plant a series of trees in multiple areas of Tullamore.
One of Tullamore Tidy Towns environmental projects has involved the planting of Laburnum trees at Kilbeggan Bridge which will mature to bring great colour along the banks of the Grand Canal.

The trees were planted with the help of local entrepreneur Lisa McGowan and members of the Tullamore Tidy Towns Committee.
At the planting ceremony yesterday evening, Shane Murray, Tidy Towns Chair, expressed his thanks to Lisa for her ongoing support of Tidy Towns and congratulated her on her amazing success and not to underestimate the pride, inspiration and positivity her story brings to many on a business and personal level in and around Tullamore.

Ms. McGowan thanked the committee for their dedication over the years for their efforts to improve the local community and it is apparent in how well the town is looking and wished the group continued success.
