Jobs fair and ideas bootcamp to take place in Offaly this week

Looking for new job opportunities or a change of career?

The Regional Transition Team is hosting is hosting a Jobs, Skills, Education Fair & Ideas Generation Bootcamp at Mount Lucas Training Centre on Friday, May 17.

The event will take place from 10am until 2pm.

The Regional Transition Team, under the auspices of the Midlands Regional Enterprise Plan to 2020, includes Local Authorities of Laois, Longford, Offaly, Westmeath, Kildare and Roscommon; The Chair & Secretariat of the Regional Enterprise Plan to 2020, regional and local representatives from IDA Ireland, Enterprise Ireland, LEOs, Local Development Companies, Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection, ETB’s, AIT, CARO, Chambers of Commerce, Regional Skills Forum and Bord na Mona.

"This Jobs Skills Fair is a great opportunity for all Bord Na Mona employees impacted by decarbonisation Programme to engage with over 20 of the top companies in the county and country who are offering jobs at this event," Transition Team member and councillor Noel Cribbin.

Companies offering jobs at the event include McDonald International Ltd, Glennon Brothers Ltd, Shay Murtagh Ltd, Roadbridge, Windhoist,  Jones Engineering, Mercury Engineering, Banagher Precast Concrete Ltd.

Attendees can also receive advice on Upskilling & Training from Education & Training Boards, Regional Skills Forum & AIT and business supports available from the Local Enterprise Office.
