The Fine Gael candidates in Offaly for the upcoming local elections

A large crowd gathered at the Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore on Monday evening as Fine Gael officially launched their 2019 Local Election candidates for Offaly.

Five new candidates will join sitting councillors on election tickets across the county in each of the three local electoral areas.

Marian Pilkington and Hughie Egans join sitting councillor John Clendennen on the Birr ticket, while Neil Feighery, Deirdre Fox and Bernard Westman represent the party in Tullamore.

In Edenderry, Liam Quinn, who served as Cathaoirleach of Offaly County Council in 2018, is joined by another sitting councillor, Noel Cribbin, who joined the party late last year.

Offaly TD Marcella Corcoran Kennedy was on hand in Tullamore to lend her support to all candidates, wishing them luck with their upcoming campaigns.

The Local Elections take place on May 24, 2019.
