Weather forecast for tomorrow from Met Eireann

The weather forecast for tomorrow from Met Eireann says it will be cold and it will begin frosty with widespread icy patches and lying snow in places. A Status Yellow Snow-Ice warning is in place for Ireland until 12pm on Saturday.

The weather forecast for Wednesday from Met Eireann says it will be cold and it will begin frosty with widespread icy patches and lying snow in places. Wintry showers mainly of hail and sleet will recur in places - especially over the north and west, but many areas will have a dry day with sunny spells. The showers will become isolated during the afternoon. Moderate west winds will fall light. Highest temperatures 3 to 6 degrees.

The weather forecast for Wednesday night is for a mainly dry and cold night with widespread frost and ice patches forming overnight. Lowest temperatures of between -1 to -5 degrees in light to moderate easterly breezes. 

The weather forecast for Thursday from Met Eireann says it will continue cold in the morning with a spell of rain pushing up from the southwest with falls of sleet and snow expected for parts of Munster, Connacht and Leinster.
