Weather forecast for the coming days from Met Eireann
The weather forecast from Met Eireann for the weekend says that it will be unsettled with wet and windy weather while it will also be turning colder again.
The forecast for Friday is for a mostly cloudy day with further light rain, drizzle and mist patches. The best of any sunny breaks will occur over southern parts of the country during the afternoon. Highs of 9 to 12 degrees in moderate, occasionally fresh, westerly winds. Friday night will continue mainly dry, however a few patches of drizzle and mist will occur and it will stay mild will lows bewteen 4 and 9 Celsius. It looks like rain will arrive on north and west coasts by Saturday morning and it will become breezy everywhere as south to southwest winds freshen.
According to the weather forecast from Met Eireann, rain will spread to all areas on Saturday together with strong and gusty southwest winds. Blustery showers will follow later in the afternoon, some of the showers turning heavy and possibly wintry in the north. Temperatures in the morning will be 9 or 10 degrees, but it will turn colder during the afternoon and evening.
The weather forecast for Saturday night is for windy weather with gales along Atlantic coasts and some further showers in gusty northwest winds. Overnight lows of 4 to 6 celsius.
Met Eireann is forecasting that Sunday will start windy with ongoing strong and gusty northwest winds. A few showers will occur through the course of the day with a few possibly wintry in the north, some sunny spells at times also. Afternoon temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees with and added wind chill.
The weather forecast for Sunday night is for a good deal of dry weather with moderate to fresh and gusty northwest winds. Overnight lows of 1 to 4 Celsius.
Current indications from Met Eireann for the weather for next week suggest it will be cold and rather unsettled. There will be frosty nights and occasional wintry showers.
