Met Eireann weather forecast for tomorrow
According to Met Eireann, it will be cold and breezy tomorrow (Tuesday) with showers of sleet and snow in places. A Status Yellow Snow-ice warning is in place for Ireland from 9pm on Monday until 7pm on Tuesday.
According to the latest Met Eireann forecast, showers will become increasing wintron Monday night falling as hail and sleet and turning to snow in places, especially on hills and mountains. Some flurries possible at some lower levels, especially in north Connacht and Ulster. Frost and icy patches also. Lowest temperatures of -1 to +2 degrees with moderate to fresh, gusty west to northwest winds.
According to Met Eireann, Tuesday will be cold and breezy with sunny spells and wintry showers. Some of the showers will fall as sleet or snow in places early in the morning, especially on high ground. They will be mainly of rain or sleet during the day and will be most frequent over the western half of the country and in Ulster. Temperatures of just 3 to 6 degrees with moderate to fresh westerly winds.
Showers will become largely confined to western and northern coasts with a few wintry falls possible across parts of Ulster on Tuesday night. Overall it will be dry however but with long clear spells allowing a widespread frost to set in along with icy stretches. Cold, with lows of minus 2 to plus 2 degrees Celsius, in light westerly breezes.
