According to Met Eireann, the country is in for unsettled weather over the weekend with potentially 'very disturbed' weather on the way early next week.
Friday is be a day of sunny spells and scattered showers with temperatures between 14 and 18 degrees and Met Eireann says it will be mostly dry and cool on Friday night with clear periods and the odd shower.
On Saturday, rain with strengthening southerly winds will develop through Ulster, Connacht and parts of West Munster during Saturday morning. Drier weather conditions are expected elsewhere until later in the day, but becoming breezy. Afternoon highs of 15 to 17 degrees Celsius. Very mild, humid and wet in most places on Saturday night.
According to Met Eireann, rain will clear southeastwards on Sunday morning and drier, fresher, brighter weather with scattered showers will follow. Afternoon temperatures will range from 15 to 18 degrees Celsius, coolest in the northwest.
However early next week, Met Eireann says there is a lot of uncertainty for early next week but indications are for very disturbed weather. There is a risk of some extremely windy conditions with heavy rainfall on Monday night or Tuesday but there is a large degree of uncertainty in details at present according to the national forecaster.
