Offaly Youth Clubs recieve €60,000 funding boost

A welcome boost for hardworking clubs

A funding injection totaling €61,653 has been announced for Offaly Youth Clubs by Minister for Children and Youth Affairs Katherine Zappone. 

The news has been broadly welcomed by youth groups and politicians locally and is part of the Local Youth Club Equipment Scheme.

The scheme was developed to support the work of volunteers, to enhance the experience of members, and to provide vital equipment to local youth clubs and groups.

The following Offaly clubs will recieve funding following the announcement:

Portarlington Coderdojo €4,876.00
Slieve Bloom Girl Guides €1,500.00
2nd Offaly Scouts, €3,177.00
Rath Eglish Foroige Club €4,904.00
Cloghan Foroige Club €3,020.00
Banagher Foroige Club €3,218.00
1st/10th Offaly Scout Group €1,713.00
Tullamore/Durrow Foroige Club €5,000.00
Ballycumber Foroige Club €5,000.00
Mucklagh Foroige €3,490.00
Castlejordan/Ballinbrackey Youth Club €5,000.00
Clara Youth Club €1,542.00
St Ciaran’s Youth Club €2,150.00
Lusmagh Foroige €1,459.00
Edenderry Youth Action Group/Edenderry Youth Café €3,524.00
Teach na nOg (House of Youth) €5,000.00
Birr Branch Girl’s Friendly Society €511.00
Gallen Community Ferbane Foroige €4,096.00
