Rain on the way
Met Eireann is forecasting a change in the weather for Offaly today after the snow and freezing conditions that have prevailes since the weekend.
Wet and windy weather will spread to Offaly but drier conditions will follow later today. Top temperatures will reach 4 to 6 degrees.
It will be cold early tonight but showers will become widespread overnight. Some of them will be heavy, with hail and with the chance of thunderstorms. Temperatures should stay above freeezing in most places however there is a slight risk of the odd icy patch.
Tomorrow looks set to be a wet and windy day with occasional bright spells. Showers will be fairly widespread, many heavy with again the chance of thunderstorms in places. Temperatures again will reach from 4 to 6 degrees.
