Here's how you can help these Offaly students eliminate poverty

The students have teamed up with Bord na Móna

Two students from St. Mary's Secondary School, Edenderry, Co. Offaly are making waves on the social media scene, and all for a good cause.

Ashling Murphy and Courtney Callaghan, both in Transition Year, are competing in the national competition 'SciFest'.

As part of the competition, the pair have been conducting research on the causes behind online posts 'going viral'.

They have used the social media platform 'Twitter' to post facts and statistics in an effort to educate people on the issues of poverty.

On Thursday, December 7, the Twitter account @Kardash_crisis (TY Scifest #EliminatePoverty) will be posting a tweet sponsored by Bord Na Mona at 11:30am.

Bord Na Mona have generously promised to donate €1,000 to Dóchas if the tweet gains a combined 5,000 retweets and likes. They have one week to hit the ambitious target.

Both Ashling and Courtney would really appreciate your help and support to raise money for this charity by liking and retweeting their tweet.
