A former secondary school student from Tullamore has received a prestigious scholarship at one of Ireland's top universities.

Ciaran O hAolain, former pupil of Colaiste Choilm, Tullamore, was one of just 39 recipients of an Entrance Scholarship at NUI Maynooth.

The Entrance Scholarships recognise the achievements of some of Ireland’s brightest and most promising first-year students who achieved 550 points or more in the Leaving Certificate examination.

These students were celebrated on campus on Wednesday, October 25.
