A burnt out vehicle has been discovered in Edenderry this morning. The car was found on the banks of the Grand Canal near the tunnel on the Edenderry to Rathangan road early on Monday, February 27.

Local County Councillor Noel Cribbin reacted to the discovery this morning: "What kind of hooligans have we here in Edenderry?," he queried. "This car was burnt out and driven into the canal at the Tunnel last night," he added. "Have these people no respect as our beautiful canal walkway seems to have been turned into a racing track for vandals," he continued.

The incident has been reported to local Gardaí, who are now dealing with it at Edenderry Garda Station

"Let's all hope they catch the offenders," Cllr Cribbin concluded.

Anyone with information about this vehicle can contact Edenderry Garda Station on 046-9731290.
