Tullamore Cycling and Touring Club present cheque to Irish Kidney Association

Club members present the €12,000 cheque

The members of Tullamore Cycling and Touring club held an event over the weekend where they presented a cheque for €12,000 to the Offaly branch of the Irish Kidney Association. The huge sum was raised last year when the club ran a number of fundraising events, most notably the 'Pedal the Peaks' Pat Colgan Challenge.

Hundreds of cyclists took on the challenge to raise the money, which will go a long way in helping the Offaly Branch of the Irish Kidney Association in their work with renal patients throughout the county and region.

The Tullamore Cycling and Touring club have previously run a number of fundraisers, and the Kidney Association were humbled to receive such a generous donation over the weekend.
