Garda overtime to be cut

Gardaí in Tullamore are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Durrow on the Kilbeggan to Tullamore Road at approximately 1.40am this morning. (December 14).

A 26 year old pedestrian was fatally injured when he was struck by a car.  The driver of the car, a man, was not injured. The stretch of road on the N52 is currently closed to facilitate a Garda Forensic Collision Investigation.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information, particularly those who were travelling on the road this morning to contact Tullamore Garda station on 057-9327600 The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any Garda station
