Man dies as a result of serious head injuries following incident in Bray

Gardaí in Bray are investigating an incident which occurred on Main St, Bray, Co Wicklow at approximately 2am on Saturday June 9.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene outside at a hotel on Bray’s Main Street. A 45-year-old man was found unconscious and had a serious head injury. He was taken to Beaumount Hospital for treatment, he was subsequently pronounced dead in the early hours of Sunday, June 10 at Beaumont hospital.
Investigating Gardaí are currently investigating all aspects of this incident to establish the facts. The scene was sealed off to facilitate a Garda forensic examination.
A post mortem will be carried out later today by Dr Michael Curtis.
