Man (24) sustains serious head injuries in suspected hit and run

Gardaí at Sundrive Rd in Dublin are appealing for witnesses or information to an incident this morning, Sunday, February 18, in which a man sustained swrious injuries. 

A 24-year-old man was found lying on the road at Parnell Rd / Clogher Rd Dublin 12 at approximately 5.55am this morning l.

Investigating Gardaí believe that the man may have been struck by a motor vehicle which failed to stop at the scene.

The injured man was removed to St James Hospital with serious head injuries.

From initial investigations carried out it's understood that the injured man made his way from Camden St at approximately 4.30am towards Portobello, Harrington St, South Circular Rd, Harold’s Cross Bridge, Parnell Rd and Clogher Rd.

A Garda technical team has examined the scene.
