.A celebration took place at the school on Sunday, May 31 with an afternoon of fund, music and celebration," said a spokesperson fo the school.

The celebrations included music, face painting and refreshments.

To mark the occasion the school and Parents’ Association hosted “The Bog Walk”, bringing together past and present pupils, families and the wider community for a scenic 25km walk and run through some of Offaly’s best-known natural landscapes.

The route took participants along the Grand Canal Greenway into Turraun Wetlands and around Lough Boora Discovery Park, returning to Pullough via Boora Church.

The course was flat and scenic, and suitable for walkers and runners of all abilities and refreshments and water stations were provided along the route.

The event was not only a celebration of the school’s 90-year history but also a fundraiser to support improvements to facilities and resources for current and future pupils.
