The verdict of Tullamore Show and FBD National Livestock Show, Chairman, John Keena, who is enjoying the delights of the National Ploughing championships in Screggan today.
John, accompanied by the President of the Irish Shows Association and former Tulllamore Show Secretary, Freda Kinnarney, took time to view the various stands in the busy Offaly: Off We Go! marquee, close to the NPA headquarters.
"The Ploughing is going very smoothly. The traffic plan is working very well and the Guards are doing a great job, particularly at junctions," he outlined.
The Show chief observed that his event and the Ploughing are complementary and in no way competitors.
