Gardaí continue to investigate a number of incidents which occurred in Cork.
An incident of criminal damage occurred at a property in the Shanakiel area of Cork at approximately 5.40pm and a road traffic collision which occurred at approximately 6.10pm on the Churchfield Road on Friday, August 23.
A male pedestrian (60s) was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment following the collision. His condition is currently described as serious.
The man in his 20s remains detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 at a Garda Station in the Southern Region.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information in relation to these incidents or road users with video footage to contact them.
