FLAHERTY'S of Kinnitty, a busy bus hire company of long standing, said today, Wednesday, that the fuel prices are unsustainable and are severely affecting its business.
"Something has to be done this week," the company said, "or there will be nothing moving next week again!"
The company said it now costs €1,138 to fill just one tank of one bus with fuel, representing a huge and unsupportable rise in just a few weeks. A few weeks ago it cost €863 to fill a tank.
