To mark Culture Night on Friday last (19th Sept), Damer House Gallery and Roscrea Community Action Group came together to celebrate the national event in Damer House and Roscrea Castle.
The evening featured the 'Beyond The Frame' exhibition with artists Áine Ryan and Jenny Fox.
Through a selection of their works, both artists presented the themes that inspire their practice, followed by a facilitated discussion that offered audiences a deeper understanding of their approaches and artistic journeys.
This was followed by Roscrea Community Action Group’s official launch of the town’s new website, visitroscrea.ie.
Designed as a user-friendly hub for residents, businesses, and visitors, the website provides a comprehensive local directory, school and club listings, details on amenities, local services, and upcoming events. Visitors can also explore Roscrea’s rich historical heritage online.
“This new website, visitroscrea.ie, marked a significant step forward in our efforts to build a more connected and informed community,” Fiona Dunford, Chairperson of the local Community Action Group said.

“We are delighted to provide a central digital hub that benefits everyone in Roscrea, making it easier than ever to discover and engage with our vibrant town.”
The launch highlighted Roscrea’s commitment to strengthening its digital presence, while also showcasing the town as a dynamic and welcoming place to live, work, and visit.
