Roscrea Trailblazers walk last Thursday was around Golden Grove and Orange Hill and was led by local woman, Liz Ryan.
Liz did a great job in making sure the group were safe and having an enjoyable night's walking, well done Liz. A fantastic night for walking with perfect weather for an evening stroll. Well done to everyone that made the effort.
Well done to the 12 members that took on the first section of the famous 'Maumturks Challenge', an arduous hike across the Maumturks, starting near Maam Cross and finishing up in the village of Leenane.
A very tough day out with over 1,700 mts of ascent, followed by a visit to Clare Island. On Sunday September 21st they have the final section of The Barrow Way (details to follow) and their weekend away in September at Donegal.

The walk this Thursday night August 28th sees the club heading back to a walk they haven't done since earlier in the year, The Devil's Bit Loop outside Tempelmore, always a popular walk and a favourite among the group. Distance 5.5km, Grade Moderate/strenuous, hill walking, Time 1.5 hours. Meeting at The Devil's Bit carpark at 7.30pm.
