THE eagerly awaited return of The Black Bull Threshing festival at the Black Bull, Sharavogue, Eircode R42E781, takes place on Sunday August 31st commencing at 1pm.
This year, they are delighted that Helen Carroll of ‘Ear to the Ground’ (RTE) will officially open the Festival at 1pm.
There will be many attractions for all generations to enjoy. See a working threshing mill with a fabulous steam engine, large vintage displays, dog show with prizes galore, tree carving, Granny’s Attic for a bargain, home produce and a vintage photo shoot! Authentic Food stalls to grab a bite and much much more!
Children always delight in the Lucky Dip Stall, the white mice racing, kids play zone, pillow fighting, pony rides, live farm yard, and of course a photo on a vintage tractor!
Sit back and enjoy live musical entertainment with Olivia Douglas from 3-5pm, along with a plethora of local talent.
Plenty of banter and fun to enjoy with their Fittest Family and Tug of War exhibitions.

The auction is always very popular with plenty of items to suit all bidders!
This year the beneficiary of the Threshing is The Coolderry Community Development Fund.
