Roscrea's Sr. Mona returns from Uganda and speaks to local Lions Club

Sr. Mona Maher from Roscrea is a long-time missionary working in Uganda, particularly with the children at Coloma Primary School.

Sr. Mona with her sister, Sr. Eileen Maher, has dedicated many years to serving in Uganda and named part of Coloma National School after their hometown in Ireland.

The Roscrea community has consistently supported their work, organizing fundraising events and donating to projects like the Sr. Mona Maher Uganda School Project.

Sr Mona is home for a brief visit from Uganda for a well deserved holiday at the moment and spoke to members of Roscrea Lions Club this week about her latest work in Uganda, which has been supported by Roscrea Lions for a long number of years.

Sr Mona was accompanied by her brother Tim O'Mear at the meeting.
