Now that the evenings are getting a bit longer, Roscrea Trail Blazers Walking Club will start getting back to some of our more popular walks. Our walk last Thursday was cancelled due to a poor weather forecast.
Well done to club members, Geraldine Fox, John Doherty and Carmel Leonard for completing the 33km Knockmealdown crossing last Saturday. A very tough challenge with over 1,500 mts of climbing (Carrauntouhill is 1039 mts) and completed in just under nine hours. Well done to everyone that made the effort.
We have a packed 2025 ahead with several trips overseas and a lot of challenge walks over the coming months.
Our walk this Thursday night sees the club heading to the Brittas Lake Loop at Clonasleee in the Sleive Blooms. Distance 7.5km, Grade Easy/Moderate, Time 1.5 hours. Meeting at the Brittas Lake Trail Head at 7.30, please bring Head/hand torch.
