According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland, the weather will remain unsettled through the week with spells of rain and showers feeding in across the country on a westerly airflow. The weather is set to turn wetter and windier later in the week.
According to Met Eireann, rain over the western half of the country on Monday will spread eastwards across the country through the morning and afternoon. There is the potential for some heavy falls and coastal flooding especially in parts of the south and east. An isolated thundery burst is possible also. Drier weather will extend from the southwest through the late afternoon and evening. Blustery south to southeast winds will increase fresh to strong and gusty at times with gales developing along the south and east coast. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees.
Rain will clear early on Monday night, with frequent showers following from the west. Some showers may be heavy with isolated thunderstorms possible. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in moderate southwest to west winds.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast Tuesday will be cool and breezy with scattered showers feeding in from the Atlantic. Sunny spells will develop also. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees in moderate to fresh westerly winds.
Becoming mostly dry early on Tuesday night, with just isolated showers on Atlantic coasts, along with cloud increasing from the west. Outbreaks of rain will develop in the northwest by dawn. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees with moderate to fresh southwest winds.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast Wednesday will be a breezy and cloudy day with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, most persistent in Connacht and Ulster, lighter and patchier rain possible elsewhere. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast it will be windy on Thursday with frequent outbreaks of rain, possibly turning heavy at times. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees with strong southerly winds.
