Man arrested in Offaly on New Year's Day for possessing cocaine for sale or supply

A YOUNG man was arrested in Birr town on New Year's Day and charged with being in the possession of a quantity of cocaine for the purpose of sale or supply.

The man was stopped and searched by the Gardaí at 1am. They found €700 worth of cocaine on his person.

A Garda spokesperson told The Midland Tribune that he's a local man. "He was arrested, taken to Birr Garda Station and interviewed; and charged with possession for sale or supply."
