Cllr Eddie Fitzpatrick intends to make further representation to Offaly County Council over concerns raised locally about footpaths in Daingean.

He says he will be making representations to the area engineer regarding the situation with the footpaths on the main
street in Daingean.

"Local residents have been in contact with me regarding this issue and following on from these calls, I walked these paths along with Mr Pat Daly who is the Fianna Fail candidate for the Daingean area in this year's Local Elections."

"Footpaths continue to be a huge concern for residents in all areas and this is an issue the Municipal District wants to see addressed as part of a footpath programme for 2019," Cllr Fitzpatrick concluded.
