Athlone Agri Event

Join us at ATHLONE AGRI SHOW 2018 on SUNDAY 24th JUNE 2018 at a NEW Venue in Bealin, Athlone, Co. Westmeath.  Lots to see. Horse-jumping, Cattle and Sheep showing competitions, Dog show, FOOD Village and Cookery,  Entertainment, Pets Corner, VINTAGE vehicles and MORE. Carers Week 2018 - Wellness Event for Carers

Chair Yoga (gentle & for all) & Relaxation Techniques

WHEN: Friday June 15th, 2018; 10:30-12:30; Light Lunch,too
WHERE: Darmagh Centre, Tullamore, Tihilly, Clontarf Rd

WHAT Yoga Instructor, Ana Alves Smyth, nOva, will guide Participants in this gentle & mindful yoga to provide relaxation & recreation

WHO: Facilitated by Inclusion Ireland & open to all Carers

Inclusion Ireland will write a pre-budget report to our Government in our advocacy for people with Intellectual disability. What would you like them to know? People with disability, family members of people with disability, people who work in services for people with disability, and others from the community are welcome to attend.

What would you consider the most important issues for people in our Government to spend money on in 2019?

Where would you like to see change in your life? In what way might you need support? We want to hear your vision of the best way you can be included in your community. Please ring Petria, Inclusion Ireland, 086-8373454 to let us know that you wish to attend.



The Four Seasons Gardening Club

The club is planning a trip to Claregalway on Sunday the 8th of July. Anyone interested in travelling please get your names to Eileen on 086 8417617 or Linda on 0872646093  as soon as possible so we can organise a bus. A deposit of €10 will be required. Thanks to all who travelled to Spink on Sunday last. A great day was had by all.

Kilcormac Women's Group

The Kilcormac Women’s Group held their AGM onTuesday there were 15 members present. The group have had a good year . Kilcormac Ramblers Outing

Annual Outing Details for Kilcormac Ramblers: - Ballymascanlon House Hotel, 4star hotel Dundalk, Co Louth. Monday 2nd July 2018 X 3 nights/ 4 days Price 275 euro per person sharing. Single Rooms 15 euro per night extra. Contact Seamus on 087 6982937, Vera Hayden on 086 0222962 or Mary Feighery on 085 7465331to book your place. As the time is nearing our outing date, Seamus, Vera and Mary will be in the community centre, this Friday the 15th of June after 10am mass to take names and payment for the trip. The Bus is filling up fast!! Our Hotel needs a complete rooming list as soon as possible so
anyone who intends to travel need to confirm to Vera, Mary or Seamus before the 16th June 2018 and the full fare needs to be paid before the 23 rd June 2018.


Members who have not renewed their membership or who would like to join us this season are asked to do so before the end of June. €15 per person payable to Vera Hayden or Rosie Mulrooney (treasurers) Outreach Support Clinic (Paul Farrell) Starting Wednesday 6th June from 9.30am to 1pm. and every Wednesday thereafter. 30min time slots. This will be a confidential one to one service which support people in the community. It is a free of charge service tailored to individual needs. Kilcormac Sporting and Conservation Club

The club is holding its annual duck race this Sunday the 17 th of June after mass at the Tullamore road bridge (weather permitting). This is always a very enjoyable event with novelty races for the kids proceeding the main event. Tickets are still on sale from all club members, so if you want a bit of luck, buy a duck and come down for the quack.

Ballyboy High Milage Goup

Ballyboy High Milage Goup plan to visit Castletown House Celbridge County Kildare on Thursday 28 th of June. If you are interested in travelling please contact 086 3763084 by Monday 18 th of June. If there is little interest trip will be cancelled.

Offaly Heritage

This year Heritage Week will take place from 18-26 August 2018 and the Heritage Council is asking you to 'Share A Story, Make A Connection' as part of European Year of Cultural Heritage.

They are encouraging everyone from young people to new arrivals to Ireland to retired people to get involved and share your stories. Event registration is now open.

There is lots of support information, ideas and videos on and through the facebook page.

If you would like to discuss an idea or talk through a project do call the heritage office. We look forward to another interesting and engaging week in Offaly!



Traditional Latin Mass in the Church of the Assumption, Tullamore, at 2.30 pm on Saturday 23rd June. Come and pray and experience the ancient beauty of the Traditional Latin Mass including Gregorian Chant and Traditional Hymns. Organised by the Catholic Heritage Association of Ireland




The annual tour for altar servers will take place on Tuesday June 12. Any parental consent forms not already handed in should be returned as soon as possible to Fr Aidan or Fr PJ


The summer meeting of the parish pastoral council will be held in the parochial house in Ballinahown at 8.30pm on this Tuesday, June 12.


The next meeting for parents in our pastoral area who have a child for baptism will be held in the Parochial House in Ballinahown on Thursday June 14 th from 8.00pm to 9.00pm. Subsequent pre-baptism meetings are scheduled for Thursday July 19 th and Tuesday August 12th – parents are asked to contact their local priest about attendance at these meetings.
