Ferbane’s Eimhin Boland elected Ógra Finna Fáils Leinster organiser

Ferbane’s Eimhin Boland has been elected Ógra Finna Fáils Leinster organiser.

Over 500 memebers of Ógra Finna Fáil attended the National Youth Conference recently in Limerick.

Ógra allows young people the opportunity to get involved in real politics and engage in real political activity. Many members of the current Parliamentary Party began their political involvement in Ógra and are a strong testament to Ógra’s role in encouraging active participation of young people at all levels of the Fianna Fáil Party and in public life. Members have also held key positions in student politics across the country and been leaders in their communities and local groups.

Member at the youth conference debated the potential impact of ‘Brexit’ the US Presidental results, science, sport and other things that effected them.

Fianna fail’s Daragh McShea and Fianna Fail’s assistant general secatrary announced the results of the Leinster vote which saw Offaly's Eimhin Boland outpolled Laois’ Darragh O’Connor.

Eimhin is currently Offalys Fianna Fáil social Media co-ordanator and joint youth officer. He holds the position of Chairperson for Offaly and AIT Ógra.

Speaking after the election Eimhin said it was a long but very enjoyable campaign and 'a fantastic experience'.
