IT’S all about doing something colourful this year on 1 Day for Rehab and leading the way are Polly and Dolly, the two 1 Day for Rehab motors that are travelling the country looking for your signature.
The Polly mobile will be cruising into Edenderry Shopping Centre on June 21 and 22. Kids and grown-ups will have the opportunity to show their support for people with disabilities, and others who are marginalised, by signing the car and making a donation of just €2 to support local Rehab services in Offaly.
Rehab’s Niall Cole said, “We’re really looking forward to Polly making a pit stop in Edenderry Shopping Centre. The signing will be a fun way for people to make their mark, much like Rehab’s services have done in local communities throughout Ireland for many years. I would encourage everyone to visit us at Edenderry Shopping Centre to show their support for our work in Offaly. It’s not every day you get to sign a car without getting into trouble!”
Paul O’Driscoll, Covidien, Tullamore said: “We’re proud to support Rehab. Covidien has had a long partnership with the organisation, and we have volunteered and fundraised for Rehab for over 20 years.
The funds raised through the 1 Day for Rehab appeal helps support the vital services Rehab provides nationwide. We’re looking forward to our involvement with this year’s campaign, and we are already planning our fundraising activities for the build-up to June 15. I hope many of you will support the initiative and sign the vehicles as they pass through Offaly.”
Public donations from 1 Day for Rehab go to fund services in those local communities so that those accessing these services may maximise their experience and potential as much as possible.
