Tullamore Amateur Dramatic Society’s production of Neil Simon’s ‘Rumours’ went down a treat over the weekend.
The hilarious consequence of jumping to conclusions with very little evidence turns an upper class dinner party into mayhem. The audiences were given a warm welcome from the gallant front of house staff who were like little beavers helping out on the Box Office, Mini bar, prompting, curtain and sound.
The fabulous make –up and hair were done by Bernie Chalke and Kate Heffernan from Bernie Chalke Photography. The GAA was transformed into its former glory days with the blackout curtains keeping the heat in the front of the hall and making the ‘pop-up’ theatre a success for the four night run.
The audience received the play with rapturous applause with many kept on their toes trying to figure out the plot!
