PwC GPA Player of the Month for April in camogie, Mairéad Teehan of Offaly, with her award
Offaly's Mairéad Teehan has been named as the PwC GPA Women’s Player of the Month in camogie for April.
She picked up her award outside the PwC offices in Cork alongside the other April winners, Kerry ladies footballer Síofra O’Shea, Cork hurler Brian Hayes, and Meath footballer Mathew Costello.
Throughout April, Mairéad Teehan delivered a series of exceptional performances, playing a central role in guiding Offaly to the Very Camogie League Division 2A title and securing their promotion to Division 1B.
In the league final against Derry at Semple Stadium, Thurles, Teehan was outstanding, registering 2-4 and proving instrumental in the Faithful county’s dominant 4-13 to 0-10 win.
Her two first-half goals helped Offaly establish an early lead, and her clinical finishing combined with a tireless work rate earned her the Player of the Match award. Over the course of the league campaign, Teehan consistently led by example, contributing significantly to Offaly’s unbeaten run and cementing her status as a key figure in the squad’s success.
