Man remanded over Ferbane attempted abduction

A 42 year old has been remanded in prison over the attempted false imprisonment of a young girl in Ferbane last month.

A 42 year old has been remanded in prison over the attempted false imprisonment of a young girl in Ferbane last month.

The incident occurred at approx 8.30pm on July 19 at Moyclare, Ferbane.

The man was arrested in the Tramore area of Waterford on July 28 and taken to Tullamore Garda Station where he was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

The next day, July 29 he appeared before a special sitting of Athlone District court where he was charged with attempted false imprisionment.

He appeared before last Wednesday’s sitting of Cloverhill District Court where he was remanded in prison to appear before Cloverhill District Court again on Setpember 13.
