Community grants announced

TULLAMORE Town Council has announced its’ Community Grant allocations. €2,000 will go to Tullamore Tidy Towns, €2,000 to Tullamore Credit Union, €1,500 to the St Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, €1,500 to Tullamore Christmas Lights Committee, €750 to the Johnny Keenan International Music Festival, €750 for the Tullamore Arts Festival and €500 to Tullamore Scouts.

“This is a pretty even spread,” said Cllr Sinead Dooley of the allocations which she said went towards groups who provide ‘invaluable services’. “I only wish we had more to give them,” she added. She thanked Rose O’Keeffe for her work with community groups.
