Special Olympics Ireland’s Collection Day, sponsored by eircom, will take place throughout Ireland on Friday, April 27.

250 volunteers will be needed throughout Co. Offaly to look after the collection points in Tullamore, Birr and Edenderry.

Annette Codd, Regional Director Special Olympics Leinster commented, “This is our largest annual fundraising event and as such is of huge importance to us. We need volunteers to help us collect on the day to ensure we are successful. Even a few hours will make a huge difference to us. Every donation we receive on April 27 will help us to further realise our promise of changing the lives of people with Intellectual Disabilities in every county in Leinster.”

For further information about Special Olympics Ireland’s Collection Day and to volunteer please visit www.specialolympics.ie/collectionday or phone Jeremy Perrin on 01-6296999 / 087 6961015.
