HAVE a guess. How many separate kinds of animals and birds came within the embrace of the Offaly SPCA during the year 2011? And what was the total of all the individuals included in the full range of those different species?
The answers to both these questions will be provided at the Society’s AGM which is being held in the function room of Hugh Lynch’s premises, Kilbride St., Tullamore, on Sunday next April 22.
Members and all interested in any aspect of animal welfare will be welcome to come along and hear reports on the challenges and achievements which featured in another very busy year.
The attendance may have the opportunity of meeting one or two of the ‘clients’ concerned in the flesh – though these are much more likely to be puppies or kittens than anything as wily as the fox or as prickly as the hedgehog!
Scheduled to commence at 3.30pm, the meeting will be followed by light refreshments. Access will be through the side entrance of the premises.
