LOCAL Gardai are continuing their investigation into an incident which saw two people escape injury when shots were fired into a house in Clara last week.

The gun attack happened in Marian Square, Clara at 11pm on Thursday, March 29.

Gardai said two people were in the rear of the house at the time but they weren’t injured.

Gardai have appealed for anyone with information, especially about a car that was seen leaving the area at the time of the incident, to contact them at Tullamore Garda station on 057 93 27600.

It is also believed that there may be a link between last week’s shooting and the discovery later on of a burnt out car in nearby Ballycumber.
