Offaly volunteers on the Niall Mellon building blitz

A number of Offaly volunteers are part of the on the Niall Mellon Township Trust building blitz building 110 houses in Cape Town.

A number of Offaly volunteers are part of the on the Niall Mellon Township Trust building blitz building 110 houses in Cape Town.

The Offaly contingent are part of a team of 600 volunteers who have made the trip to build houses for families who currently live in tin shacks.

The Offaly volunteers are Pat Bergin, Mark Dunne, Paddy Byrne, Orla Grennan, Caroline McGrath, Mairead McVeigh Pip Larkin and Kenneth Galvin

The charity is on its 10th blitz and has given homes to 100,000 people.

Next year the Trust moves to Kenya to build and focus on an education initiative.
