DAINGEAN Town Hall will undergo a facelift after planning permission was granted by Offaly County Council.
Permission was sought by the Daingean Town Hall committee for a variety of changes to the projected structure with the majority being internal.
The decision to grant permission means that the modern internal partitions and suspended ceiling will be removed which will allow for the construction of a new first floor above the former courtroom.
In addition the new plans will see the insertion of a new arched top sash window into the existing ground floor niche.
