A total of three men were arrested yesterday by Gardai investigating the murder of 64-year-old Thomas (Toddy) Dooley at a house in Edenderry, Co. Offaly, on February 16.
The first person arrested was a 19 year old male who was arrested in Edenderry and wass detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Tullamore Garda Station
The second person detained, another 19 year old man, was arrested during the afternoon in Edenderry and was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Birr Garda Station.
A third person, a 24 year old male, was arrested in Celbridge, Co. Kildare shortly before 5pm yesterday evening. He was detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Portlaoise Garda Station.
The body of Mr Dooley was discovered when Gardai were called to his house at Sister Senan Court Edenderry. He had sustained injuries to his upper body was pronounced dead at the scene.
