TO celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the first ever camp by Ballykilmurray Boy Scouts, a reunion is being held on Friday, November 11 in Hugh Lynch’s Bar in Tullamore.
The reunion is for all former scouts and leaders and it is hoped that a big crowd will be in attendance on the night to reminisce about days in the scouts and to catch up with old friends. The trip to France took place in 1991 when the scouts went to Paris and that is sure to be remembered fondly.
However the reunion is for all former members and an open invitation is extended to all to attend on the night.
There will be a display of photographs and footage from the camp will be shown on the night, dodgy hairstyles, clothes and all.
The conversation at some point is sure to get round to the tonnes of beans eaten and the thunderous consequences which always brought a tear to the eye and a stampede to the exits!
It promises to be a great night and the organisers are hoping that as many former members as possible will be able to attend on the night.
They would like to that Hugh Lynch’s for the use of the premises and also all the companies and individuals who have helped the Ballykilmurray Boy Scouts over the years and who continue to do so.
The reunion gets underway at 8.30pm on Friday, November 11 and will surely run into the early hours.
