Tullamore Gardai continue investigation into tragic road death

Gardai in Tullamore are continuing their investigation into the tragic death of a 10 year old boy after he was struck by a car in Ballykilmurray yesterday morning.

Gardai in Tullamore are continuing their investigation into the tragic death of a 10 year old boy after he was struck by a car in Ballykilmurray yesterday morning.

The tragedy occurred at approximately 9.15am on April 3, approximately two miles outside Tullamore. Ten-year-old Jack Wyer was seriously injured and was taken by ambulance to Midland Regional hospital in Tullamore however he later died as a result of his injuries.

The road was closed for a Forensic Collision examination and diversions are in place.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have been on the road between 9am and 9.20am on Thursday, April 3 to contact the Gardai in Tullamore on 057 9327600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
