No patients waiting at Midlands Hospitals

THE latest Trolley Watch figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Association (INMO) show that there are no patients waiting on trolleys in the Midlands.

THE latest Trolley Watch figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Association (INMO) show that there are no patients waiting on trolleys in the Midlands.

The Midlands Regional Hospitals in Tullamore, Portlaosie and Mullingar are the only three major hospitals in the country who report having no patients waiting for a bed.

The INMO figures show that Portiuncla Hospital in Ballinasloe has six patients waiting.

The highest number waiting today (February 5) is 27 at Beaumount Hospital in Dublin while Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Dundalk and Connolly Hospital in Dublin both have 23 patients waiting.

Nationally 301 patients were waiting for a bed when the figures were recorded.
