CLARA Bog Visitor Centre will be the venue for a mini-concert by the brilliant Clara Ballad Group on Bank Holiday Monday, May 7 from 2 to 4pm.
Clara Ballad Group were recently crowned the best ballad singers in the country at the Scór Finals on April 21 in Killarney.
They have now succeeded in winning the competition at every attempt during the past four years and each member now holds multiple All-Ireland medals.
Members of the public are invited to come along and enjoy this free concert and hear the best ballad singers in the country!
Meanwhile, a bird box camera at the back of the Visitor Centre has now been connected to a television within the exhibition area and is transmitting live images of Great Tits as they start to build their nest.
They will soon also lay their eggs and rear their chicks with all the action being captured by the cameras. Pop into the centre anytime to have a look at the live images and wonder at the marvel of new lives just beginning for this Great Tit family.
Clara Bog Visitor Centre will shortly be starting a Nature Club for children aged between 7 and 12 years of age. If you’d like to learn more about the club or to book a place, please contact the Visitor Centre on 057 93 68878.
Art & Craft sessions continue to run every Saturday morning at Clara Bog Visitor Centre between 10am and 12pm. There will be a small cover charge of €1 per child for this activity.
