Calls for urgent meeting with HSE

TULLAMORE Town Councillor Molly Buckley has called on the HSE to meet with councillors as a matter of urgency.

TULLAMORE Town Councillor Molly Buckley has called on the HSE to meet with councillors as a matter of urgency.

“We have been waiting for a meeting with the HSE and things are not improving locally. We are waiting six months,” said Cllr Buckley.

She said all new management were now in place within the HSE locally and the fact they have still not met with them is “not acceptable.”

She said there were people waiting on hip operations and theatres are closed. These people, she said, are in pain, and a meeting was needed with councillors urgently.

Cllr Sinead Dooley said Town Clerk Ruth McNally had writted to the HSE on June 21 and was still awaiting a reply.

Councillors agreed to write again.
