Mega fundraiser for Phoenix Project

TERESA Connolly and all the staff at Ritzy’s Hair salon are gearing up for a mega fundraising day on Sunday, March 13 in aid of the Phoenix Project in the Clubhouse at Leah Victoria Park.

This project was set up in late 2009 to help families cope with the effects of the global financial crisis. It will provide financial advice and assistance to clients who are encountering financial and emotional difficulties. It focuses particularly on people who feel there is no way out.

One of its aims is to provide confidential support to clients and their families with respect and dignity. Willam Prior and Liam McMahon were in Tullamore on Saturday last to help launch the project.

They were delighted when Cllr Molly Buckley also gave her time and support for the project. Teresa and her team were winners of the National Salon of the Year at the Schwarzkopf business awards last October.

As an astute business woman, she appreciates that times are tough for many families and feels this project is ‘for the people by the people’ and is one hundred percent behind it.

Willam Prior, Director and Chairman, thanked Teresa and her staff for their support. He also confirmed that the office for the Midlands region is now open at The Waterfront Offices, French Church Street, Portarlington, Co Laois. Contact numers are Tel: (057) 8636830 / 8636831. Fax (057) 8623657. E-mail: support @phoenixproject.ie. Website: www.phoenixproject.ie.

The fundraising day at the soccer pitch and clubhouse at Leah Victoria Park will include a soccer blitz and table quiz starting at 6pm followed by a sponsored leg wax and head shave.

There will be lots of spot prizes on the night and Alan Murray will provide the music. Anyone who would like further information can contact the numbers listed. Anyone who would like to help or support the project can contact Ritzy’s Hair Salon.
