The contestants have been unveiled for the eagerly anticipated Tullamore ‘Stars in their Eyes’.
The event, which takes place on Friday, May 17 at 8pm, is a fundraiser for the Tullamore Parish Centre. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
Tom Whelan, Tullamore Parish Administrator said, “We can now reveal the fantastic line up of contestants for the ‘Stars in Their Eyes’ fundraiser, which is based on the popular television competition format where the contestants appear as the famous singer they are going to impersonate.”
Tom revealed, “The contestants are Fr Shane Crombie, Robbie Spain, Karen Flanagan, Andrius Kozlovskis & Kotryna Kozlovskyte, Gena Nugent, Tom Maher & Jim Smyth, David Mills and Glenn Ryan All of the contestants are practising hard and are really excited to be given the opportunity of saying ‘Tonight, I’m going to be.....’, disappear, then re-appear in a puff of smoke as their hero.”
The Parish Centre asks that you support the fundraising event by buying tickets to see the show and sponsoring your favourite contestant on www.mycharity.ie/event/starsintheireyes/. You can sponsor a contestant for any amount in a safe and secure way, leave a comment of encouragement for the contestant and see how much has been raised online so far. Tickets can be purchased from the Parish Centre or at reception in the Tullamore Court Hotel. Adults cost €10, Students/children/OAP’s cost €5, family tickets (2 adults & 2 children) only €25
Tom Whelan added, “This promises to be a fantastic fun filled night with a panel of esteemed judges who will critique the acts.
