One of the two people found dead in a double shooting in Carlow is understood to be from Offaly.
The remains of a man and a woman both in their 50s were found with gunshot wounds in separate rooms in the B&B on Centaur Street in Carlow around 1.30pm on Monday. Both victims are understood to have died from gunshot wounds.
Gardai at this stage are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
Gardai said they were not looking for anybody else at this stage in connection with the deaths. A post mortem is due to be carried out today in Naas General Hospital
The couple were last seen at 10pm on Sunday night leaving a pub. Reports suggest that the couple were the only occupants of the B&B at the time of the incident.
