THE big build up to Kilcormac’s St Patrick’s Day parade has begun and it looks set to be another exciting parade.
Local people are looking forward to the 2012 parade as it will give the town a much needed excuse to get out and have some fun on the town’s streets.
The parade will start at 3.30pm and fancy dress and schools entrants are asked to congregate in the GAA field with all other entries to take their place on the road side to await the start of the parade as usual. There is no registration or entry fee so if people wish to enter the parade, please turn up on the day.
Prizes will be awarded for best group display, best vintage vehicle, most original float. fancy dress for adults and children and many more categories. Meanwhile, please visit the Kilcormac St. Patrick’s day parade Facebook page for all the details.
Highlights of the parade will be available on the internet and anyone who will not be able to attend the parade will still be able to sample the atmosphere on the day. Organisers hope to upload photographs and video from the event through its Facebook site on the day.
